Austrian Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Austria having its headquarters in Vienna. Along with its regional subsidiary Tyrolean Airways and charter arm Lauda Air, Austrian Airlines operates to over 130 destinations worldwide. Austrian Airlines dominates the skies in Central and Eastern Europe and focuses in both regional business and scheduled flights.
Austrian Airlines History

Austrian Airlines was founded on September 30, 1957 with the merger of Air Austria and Austrian Airways. The airlines made its maiden flight when Vickers Viscount took off from Vienna to London in March 1958. Austrian Airlines initiated its transatlantic services in corporation with Sabena in April 1969 when it flew from Vienna to New York.
Austrian Airlines Fleet

Austrian Airlines has a modern fleet which grows each year rendering the average age of an aircraft to 7.6 years. Currently, Austrian Airlines has a fleet size of 99 including short and medium long haul aircrafts. These include Airbus A319-100s, A320-200s, A321-100s, A321-200s, A330-200s and A340-200s.the Boeing fleet consists of 737-600s, 737-700s, 737-800s, 767-300s, 777-200, and Fokker 70s.
