Tokyo Haneda Airport belongs to the world’s busiest airports list, despite serving less international flights since the Narita Airport opened. Haneda Airport, located some 15 kilometers from Central Tokyo, welcomes up to 65 million passengers each year.
Serving major flights for Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, Tokyo Haneda Airport is well connected to the city center through rail, monorail and roads. A moving walkway inside the underground tunnel connects the two terminals of the airport. Passengers can also take the free shuttle bus service to get from one terminal to the other. Links to the Tokyo monorail stations are found in both terminals.
Leisure time inside Tokyo Haneda Airport can be spent in the two shopping malls, Galleria Mall and Marketplace. Find a wide variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants within these areas. More services are available within the airport including banks, nursery, smoking rooms, business center and luggage handling. To have a more relaxing experience while waiting for long layovers, there is an onsite hotel providing more recreational amenities and suitable accommodations.
With its proximity to central Tokyo, visitors are afforded good sightseeing opportunities coming from Tokyo Haneda Airport. It is also well situated for reaching Yokohama as it is alongside the Pacific coastline. Some of the attractions near the airport include Hamarikyu-teien Palace Gardens, Tokyo International Pier and the wild and fun rides of Tokyo Disneyland Resort.
Tokyo Haneda is served by many airlines flying out of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. To experience more of Japan’s exciting attractions, check for low airfares from Kingfisher Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways and Emirates. Points of departure are key airports of Bengaluru, Chhatrapati Shivaji and Delhi
Indira Gandhi. Traveling may take at least 15 hours.
